In the framework of the GreenWB Erasmus+ CBHE Project, to which EPOKA University is a partner, the Study Visit and Practical Training on Global Green and Social Business was held at FH Joanneum, Graz, Austria during June 3-7, 2024.
EPOKA University was represented by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş as project coordinator, Dr. Armando Demaj, Dr. Besjon Zenelaj, and Dr. Esmir Demaj as working group members of the project.
The capacity-building event on sustainable living labs, encompassed a series of study visits and practical training sessions on global green and social business. The activities commenced with a welcome session outlining the vision and strategy, followed by in-depth discussions on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in higher education, the European Green Deal, and integrating green projects into curricula.
Practical insights were shared on green marketing, climate change adaptation, and financial literacy with a focus on gender equity. Participants also explored sustainable business practices and engaged in networking dinners at local venues. The third and fourth days were dedicated to the GreenoVET conference, providing a platform discussing broader themes of green vocational education and training and a good opportunity for networking with various stakeholders of importance for EPOKA University.
The final day concentrated on eco-innovation and the development of strategies for sustainable living labs. Sessions covered strategic communications and concluded with reflections and planning next steps of the GreenWB Project.
