The Rector of EPOKA University Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztas, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alba Kruja and Dr. Chrysanthi Balomeneu, had the honor of meeting with the Greek Ambassador to Albania, H.E. Konstantina Kamitsi, and Greek Consul H. E. Mr. Paschalis Anastasiou at the embassy. The meeting focused on establishing academic and cultural collaborations for the 2024-2025 academic year, further strengthening the long-standing relationship between the two countries.
Key Collaborative Initiatives Discussed:
• EBEEC 2025 Conference: A major highlight of the meeting was the discussion of co-organizing the International Conference on Economies of the Balkan and Eastern European Countries (EBEEC 2025) in partnership with the Democritus University of Thrace. The conference, set to take place in Albania, will bring
together leading scholars, researchers, and professionals to explore critical issues in economics, business, and sustainability across the region. This event will serve as a vital platform for intellectual exchange and foster greater collaboration on economic challenges and opportunities in the Balkans and Eastern Europe.
• Spring Fest and Culture Day: The meeting also explored the organization of “Spring Fest and Culture Day,” a celebration of the rich cultural heritage, this event aims to promote cross-cultural engagement among students and faculty, further strengthening the bonds between the nations and enhancing cultural awareness within the university community.
