The members of the International Advisory Board of EPOKA University met with the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences on April 29, 2025.
Distinguished participants included Prof. Dr. Michael Murphy (Former President of the European University Association), Prof. Dr. Arben Merkoci (ICREA and Catalan Institute of Nanotechnology), and Dr. Ben Swagerman (International Legal Expert).
As part of the program, high-level consultations were held with the leadership and academic staff of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences.
The faculty was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lisen Bashkurti, Dean of the Faculty, who delivered an in-depth overview of its vision, objectives, and development strategy.
Key topics discussed included:
A central focus was the internationalization strategy of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, built on the promotion of international values, principles, norms, and global standards in support of peace, stability, democracy, human rights, and socio-economic sustainable development.
This strategy addresses current global risks such as misinformation, rising conflicts, and economic uncertainty.
The faculty also highlighted the integration of strategic thinking with extracurricular student engagement through clubs and initiatives, aiming to generate long-term value for students, academic, and administrative staff.
The strategy is based on a clearly defined action plan, goals, priorities, and implementation efforts, supported by strong evaluation and revision mechanisms to ensure progress and continuous improvement.
