EPOKA University had the pleasure of hosting today a delegation from the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology (IZIIS) of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, in the framework of strengthening international academic cooperation.
The visit provided an opportunity for constructive discussions regarding potential collaboration in key areas of mutual interest, including academic exchange, joint research activities, student and staff mobility, joint academic programs, and participation in scientific and cultural initiatives. Both institutions reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting high-quality education, research excellence, and cross-border collaboration.
Representing IZIIS were Prof. Dr. Kemal Edip, Prof. Dr. Radmila Salic Makreska, Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Bogdanovic, Prof. Dr. Julijana Bogdanovic, and Ass. MSc. Zabedin Neziri, who engaged in in-depth discussions with Epoka University’s academic and administrative representatives.
From Epoka University, the meeting was attended by Rector, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bilgin; Head of Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mirjam Ndini; Head of the International Relations Office, Dr. Armando Demaj; University Administrator, Dr. Esmir Demaj; and Dr. Anila Xhahysa, who contributed to the discussions on institutional collaboration and future joint initiatives.
The meeting concluded with the formal signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between EPOKA University and IZIIS
The agreement establishes a comprehensive framework for cooperation, outlining provisions for faculty and student exchanges, joint research undertakings, co-organization of seminars and training programs, as well as initiatives to support cultural and academic engagement.
EPOKA University values this important partnership with IZIIS and looks forward to implementing the agreed activities with the aim of fostering academic advancement and strengthening ties between the two institutions. Together, we are building bridges that connect knowledge and cultures.
