On June 2, 2022, EPOKA University welcomed Ms. Jutta Gützkow, Head of the Council of Europe in Tirana, to discuss on "The role, agenda and challenges of the Council of Europe Office in Albania". Ms. Gützkow presented the aims, work, and contribution of the Council of Europe in Albania emphasizing the role of the institution in standard setting, monitoring, and technical cooperation on a range of legal, social, political and cultural issues.
Ms. Gützkow mentioned that the Council of Europe is implementing eight projects in Albania. Six of the projects, as part of the cooperation between the Council of Europe and the European Union, aim to support Albania and other Western Balkan countries to comply with European standards.
Also, Ms. Gützkow addressed the questions of the students with a focus on the performance of the Council of Europe and challenges that the institution is facing in Albania. At the end, Ms. Gützkow mentioned about the internship and recruitments opportunities in the Council of Europe.
