Training of Academic Staff on Virtual Collaborative Learning in Practice

Training on “Virtual Collaborative Learning in practice” organized by representatives of Technical University of Dresden, in the framework of the VALEU-X project, took place at EPOKA University on 25 October 2022. The workshop was delivered as a best practice approach taking the Virtual Collaborative Learning modules delivered by TU Dresden for 20 years as examples for explanations.
It raised awareness about challenges faced during the design process of online learning and offered firsthand solutions for the implementation of collaborative learning activities with a focus on Virtual Mobility and Internationalization at home.
Both moderators, Mr. Mattis Altmann and Mr. Samuel Reeb, provided an overview on what should be considered when designing a VCL course on a collaborative learning platform. Additionally, aspects for reducing technical barriers of learners and facilitating an easy introduction to virtual learning were discussed.
Academic staff that participated in the training were engaged in group work by designing and presenting their own VCL case study.
