The sessions were moderated by Bologna Experts of DAAD respectively Prof. Anthony Vickers Emeritus Professor of Physics at the University of Essex, UK and Prof. Tatjana Volkova Professor at BA School of Business and Finance, Riga, Latvia.
The participants were introduced with LOLA methodology, which implies writing the learning outcome, determine the learning pathway, and design the assessment methodology all at the same time to ensure constructive alignment.
The first session concentrated on the principles and use of learning outcomes, as defined by the ECTS Users Guide, concerning linking the learning outcome to the course credits. The second session concentrated on curriculum development and monitoring, introducing methodologies for both informal and formal review and change.
Workshop participants were divided into groups to examine cases of different syllabuses based on LOLA Methodology and reflect critically on the existing practice of program review as a part of quality assurance in EPOKA University.
