The International Advisory Board of EPOKA University meets with the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences

The members of the International Advisory Board met with the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences on April 30, 2025.

 

Distinguished participants included Prof. Dr. Michael Murphy (Former President of the European University Association) and Prof. Dr. Arben Merkoci (ICREA and Catalan Institute of Nanotechnology)

 

During this meeting, consultations were held with the leadership and academic staff of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. 

 

The faculty was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alba Kruja, Dean of the Faculty, who delivered a presentation on fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship as part of the vision, objectives, and development strategy of the faculty.

 

Key topics discussed included:

 

Alignment with Global Transformations – The faculty’s strategic orientation is built upon addressing three major global shifts: digitalization, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and globalization—placing innovation and entrepreneurship at the core of academic and institutional development.

 

Curriculum Enhancement and Academic Excellence - Academic programs are continuously updated to reflect advancements in technology, sustainability, and digital transformation, while fostering student excellence and promoting technology-integrated learning environments.

 

Research Development and Industry Collaboration - The faculty is committed to increasing research output through interdisciplinary projects and strengthening applied research by engaging in partnerships with industry to drive innovation.

 

Internationalization and Global Partnerships – The faculty actively pursues international collaborations, mobility programs, and accreditation processes, aiming to enhance academic quality, global reputation, and intercultural competence.

 

Industry Engagement and Career Advancement - Strategic initiatives are in place to build strong networks with the private and public sectors, ensuring students benefit from internships, mentorships, and career development opportunities, while alumni engagement is increasingly emphasized.

 

Global Positioning and Institutional - Growth Through dual-degree initiatives and increased visibility to international students, the faculty is working to strengthen its global presence and academic influence in the region and beyond.
