On May 16-17, 2025, Dr. Gentjan Skara, Associate Professor Dini Sejko and Dr. Alba Gerdeci participated in the 17th International Conference Economies of the Balkan and Eastern European Countries (ΕΒΕΕC 2025) held at Epoka University, Tirana.
The paper, titled “Arbitration in EU Competition Law and the possibilities of application in Albania,” provides an overview of arbitration in EU Competition Law and examines the Albanian authorities' efforts to establish a functioning arbitral institution from a critical perspective, considering market needs and systemic challenges.
This paper is part of the Research Expertise from the Academic Diaspora (READ) Fellowship Program funded by the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF). The authors are undertaking a comparative approach on “Arbitration in Competition Law: Comparative experience in EU and China: The possibilities of application in Albania”.
