On April 9, 2026, EPOKA University welcomed the Director of the Quality Assurance Agency in Higher Education (ASCAL), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anisa Subashi, for an official meeting at its premises.
The meeting was attended by the Rector of EPOKA University, Prof. Dr. Huseyin Bilgin, the University Administrator, Dr. Esmir Demaj, as well as the Deans of Faculties and representatives of the university’s quality assurance bodies.
During the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Bilgin expressed his pleasure in discussing the achievements and ongoing developments of both EPOKA University and ASCAL, emphasizing the importance of continuous collaboration in enhancing higher education quality.
EPOKA University introduced its latest achievements to the Director, highlighting growth in student enrollment, graduate employment rates, and its performance in international rankings.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Subashi highlighted that ASCAL has applied for membership in ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education). She stated that fulfilling ENQA standards would represent a significant milestone, as it would enhance the international credibility of national accreditation, reducing the need for Albanian universities to seek additional international accreditation.
She also outlined several recent improvements and initiatives undertaken by ASCAL to strengthen quality assurance mechanisms in higher education.
