As part of their ongoing studio courses, students and professors from the Department of Architecture at Epoka University conducted a site visit to the city of Shtime in Kosovo.
During their visit, the group was welcomed by the Mayor, Dr. Qemajl Aliu, and representatives from the Municipality of Shtime, who provided valuable insights into the city’s development priorities and local context. The discussions focused on social, environmental, and spatial aspects to give students a deeper understanding of the context. In this meeting, the Mayor, Dr. Qemajl Aliu, and the Head of the Department of Architecture, Dr. Egin Zeka, signed a collaboration agreement.
The site visit aimed to support students in developing project ideas within three different studio courses. Following the meeting, students made detailed site observations across the city center and Reçak village, exploring the area’s social, natural, and built environment features.
Based on their findings, students will propose architectural, urban design, and landscape projects on various topics such as public spaces, recreational zones, community services, facilities, accommodation, and residential functions.
