The Memorandum of Understanding establishes a framework for long-term academic and scientific collaboration, focusing on doctoral education, joint research projects, academic mobility, scholarly exchange, and collaborative academic initiatives. Particular emphasis is placed on developing jointly supervised doctoral projects, creating opportunities for doctoral researchers and academic staff from both institutions to engage in interdisciplinary research and international academic networks.

The agreement builds upon existing academic connections between the two institutions and reflects their shared commitment to advancing research, fostering international dialogue, and supporting the next generation of scholars.

Alongside the signing of the agreement, the visit provided an opportunity for academic discussions and the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the two institutions.

As part of the Interdisciplinary Colloquium series, Dr. Niuton, Dr. Jubjana, Prof. Isa Erbas, and Dr. Reina Zenelaj jointly delivered the lecture entitled “After the Transition: Silenced Memories, Religion and Political Culture in Albania.” The lecture explored the intersections of collective memory, religion, and political culture in Albania, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and the exchange of perspectives among academics from both institutions.

The signing of this agreement represents an important milestone in EPOKA University's internationalization efforts, expanding opportunities for doctoral education, academic exchange, and collaborative research while strengthening its institutional presence within European academic networks.
