On May 8th, 2024, EPOKA University in collaboration with the esteemed British Blockchain Association hosted a Metaverse Hands-On Workshop, organized exclusively for the Faculty staff and Students.
In today’s rapidly evolving world, where digital transformation is reshaping industries and societies, it has become increasingly crucial to not only be aware of innovative technologies but also to actively engage and learn about them. The metaverse represents a frontier where virtual and physical realities converge, offering endless opportunities for exploration, creativity, and problem-solving.
Prof. Dr. Naseem Naqvi welcomed delegates and Assoc. Prof. Dr Alba Kruja, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences kicked off the workshop highlighting the importance of learning about the future of immersive economies.
Prof. Dr. Naseem Naqvi shared insights on practical applications of Metaverse by presenting an overview of global landscape of Metaverse, how to build a metaverse platform, use cases from around the globe, a practical tour to various Web2 and Web3 metaverses, and how students can benefit from learning about Metaverse applications. British Blockchain Association became in January 2022, the world's first blockchain industry association to establish its Headquarters in the Metaverse, and has since hosted parliamentarians, regulators, enterprises, policymakers, universities, and Blockchain and Digital Assets associations in its Metaverse Headquarters.
EPOKA University is the first and only Albanian University listed in the University Network of the Journal of the British Blockchain Association alongside Stanford University, Harvard University, Oxford University, etc. Students and Faculty staff received an exclusive Proof of Attendance CPD Certificate, issued by the BBA on a Blockchain.
