19th Education and Technology Doctoral Summer School 2026

"Global strands in digital participation research"

 

Overview

Join us for the 19th Education and Technology Doctoral Summer School, taking place at the International University of Applied Sciences (IU) and Dresden University of Technology (TUD), Germany, from September 14-18, 2026. This edition features a unique dual-track structure, integrating intensive doctoral research with the GeNeMe Conference (Communities in New Media).

  • Digital Participation in Education and Society: Focusing on learning and knowledge creation in digital/hybrid environments.
  • AI and the Transformation of Learning: Exploring AI tutors, pedagogy, and curriculum innovation.
  • Curriculum, Ethics, and Accessibility: Addressing responsible AI use and digital competencies.
  • Future Skills Development: Promoting digital literacy, critical thinking, and adaptability.
  • Global Collaboration and Hybrid Education: Strengthening international research between Germany, the EU, and the Western Balkans.

How to Apply

Submit the following documents to projects@epoka.edu.al with the subject line 'EaT Summer School 2026 Submission':

  1. Abstract (300-500 words) outlining research questions and methodology.
  2. Author details and short bio (max 150 words).
  3. Letter of Motivation (specifying stay duration: 1 week or 1 month).
  4. Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  5. Project Outline / Research Proposal.
