On May 17, 2024, The Center for European Studies, in collaboration with the Department of Political Science and International Relations and Department of Law at EPOKA University, organized the First WB-EUPath Graduate Workshop. The workshop was organized within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module Project “EU Integration of Western Balkans: Patterns and Issues” (WB-EUPath Module) led by EPOKA University and co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the EU.
The first part of the workshop consisted of a Graduate Seminar delivered by Dr. Ognen Vangelov from the School of Political Science at the University American College in Skopje, North Macedonia and External Expert to the WB-EUPath Jean Monnet Module. Dr. Vangelov offered a comparative approach and engaged in an interactive discussion with the workshop participants on the EU integration process of North Macedonia and Albania, highlighting the similarities, differences, and challenges that the countries are encountering.
In the second part of the workshop one-to-one mentorship sessions were offered to workshop participants by the academic staff of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Department of Law, and Center for European Studies at EPOKA University and WB-EUPath external expert Dr. Ognen Vangelov. Participants with a graduate degree and graduate students presented their research ideas on different topics related to the EU integration process of the Western Balkans, welcomed the feedback offered by the academic staff, and engaged in discussions among each other.
