EPOKA University was delighted to welcome back one of its distinguished alumnae, Kei Hysi, for an open lecture. Kei, a graduate of EPOKA’s Bachelor’s program in Business Informatics (2015-2018), returned to campus to share her inspiring journey and offer valuable insights to current students.
The lecture, titled “My Journey”, highlighted Kei’s remarkable academic and professional achievements since her time at EPOKA. Kei recounted how the education she received at EPOKAprovided a solid foundation for her subsequent studies and career milestones.
She shared her experiences pursuing a Master’s degree at the prestigious Technical University of Munich (TUM), participating in an exchange program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and writing her master’s thesis at Stanford University, which focused on how education fosters innovative and entrepreneurial self-beliefs. Kei also highlighted her time at the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM) in Munich, where she took part in interdisciplinary hands-on projects and further developed her entrepreneurial mindset.
Kei’s achievements also include securing €25,000 in scholarships, which helped her finance her education and pursue global opportunities. She emphasized the importance of seeking scholarships and shared practical tips on how students can successfully apply for similar programs. She highlighted both the challenges and the lessons she learned along the way, offering invaluable advice to students on resilience, networking, and the power of stepping out of one’s comfort zone.
The lecture concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where students eagerly sought Kei’s advice on studying abroad and balancing academic and personal commitments.
A special highlight of the event was the mention of Kei’s debut poetry book, Copëzat, which is now available in the EPOKA University library.
