Strong leadership is the foundation of transformative change—and with the launch of the LEADALKO project: "Leadership Capacities Development in Higher Education across Albania and Kosovo", co-funded by the European Union, a new chapter begins for universities across the region.
The project officially kicked off on January 20-21, 2025, with a meeting at University College Bedër, uniting representatives from seven key partner institutions:
LEADALKO is more than just a project—it’s a commitment to modernizing higher education in Albania and Kosovo. The project’s core mission is to enhance leadership and management capacities within universities, driving reforms that promote sustainable growth and excellence.
Through LEADALKO, partner universities will establish dynamic leadership development programmes designed to nurture the competencies and qualities essential for higher education leaders. The impact will be far-reaching—strengthening governance, enhancing strategic planning, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
