As part of the READ Project titled “Legal Protection of Minorities: Compliance of Albanian Domestic Legislation with International Instruments/Human Rights Treaties”, fourth-year Law students at EPOKA University had the opportunity to engage in practical learning to complement their academic studies.
Accompanied by Dr. Heliona Bellani, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bojana Hajdini, Dr. Niuton Mulleti, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Damigela Hoxha (Diaspora Lecturer), students visited the Directorate of Free Legal Aid. The visit provided firsthand insight into how legal protections for minorities are implemented and highlighted the essential role of primary and secondary legal aid in safeguarding human rights.
This initiative represents a meaningful step in connecting classroom knowledge with real-world legal practice, strengthening students’ understanding of minority rights in the Albanian legal system.
EPOKA University extends its sincere gratitude to the Directorate of Free Legal Aid and its dedicated staff for their collaboration and support in preparing the next generation of legal professionals.
