On 17 March, the Department of Civil Engineering welcomed back our alumna, Pranvera Progni, for an open conversation with current students.
Instead of a traditional lecture, the session focused on the practical realities of today’s professional world. Pranvera discussed the aspects of work that rarely show up on a syllabus but fundamentally shape a career, including:
Reflecting on her visit, Pranvera noted how familiar the environment felt, seeing the exact same curiosity and the same doubts she once experienced.
"Sitting there, answering their questions, I couldn't help but feel like I was speaking to myself from a few years ago," she shared. Her main takeaway for the students was a reassuring one: we don't necessarily "outgrow" those early career questions; we just get better at navigating them.
We are incredibly grateful to Pranvera for returning to EPOKA to share her journey. It is a great reminder of how important it is to give back and create space for real, honest conversations about life after graduation.
