The Armed Forces Academy, in collaboration with EPOKA University and the University of Tirana, successfully organized the scientific conference “Transformation of Higher Education: Challenges, Innovation and Perspectives.”

The conference brought together academics, researchers, and higher education professionals to discuss the ongoing transformation of higher education, addressing key challenges, innovative approaches, and future perspectives. The event provided a valuable platform for the exchange of ideas, the sharing of experiences, and the promotion of academic cooperation among institutions committed to educational excellence.

Dr. Reina Zenelaj, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, served as a member of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, contributing to the academic quality and successful organization of the event. 

Among the contributors, the Dean of the Faculty of Security and International Relations presented a scientific paper entitled “Student Perspectives on the Transformation of Higher Education,” offering valuable insights into students’ views on the evolving educational landscape.

In addition, Dr. Dea Haxhiu and PhD Candidate Morena Mulhaxhia Shima presented a paper focused on “Strategic Leadership in an Interinstitutional Context: Cooperation between Universities and Defense Institutions,” highlighting the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and the defense sector in addressing contemporary educational and strategic challenges.

A significant outcome of the conference was the publication of the presented scientific papers, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and providing a lasting academic resource for researchers, educators, and policymakers.

This important gathering also strengthened the partnership between the Armed Forces Academy, the University of Tirana, and Epoka University, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing higher education and fostering collaborative research initiatives.
