Students from the International Marketing and Logistics Management (IML) and Business Informatics (BINF) study programs of the Business Administration Department at EPOKA University participated in an educational field visit to the CANAJ Factory in Tamarë, Malësi e Madhe, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, within the framework of the BUS 356 Strategic Logistic Management course, accompanied by their lecturer, Dr. Vilma Cekani.
The visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to connect classroom knowledge with real-world business operations by observing logistics, production, and supply chain processes in one of Albania’s modern food and beverage manufacturing facilities. Established in 2020 in the Albanian Alps, CANAJ Factory is known for producing natural fruit juices, fruit-based products, and spring water sourced from the mountainous region of Malësia e Madhe.
During the visit, students were introduced to the factory’s operational processes, including sourcing, production, packaging, inventory management, quality control, and distribution activities. Company representatives explained how strategic logistics decisions contribute to efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction while ensuring smooth coordination across the supply chain.
The interactive session encouraged students to engage directly with industry professionals. Participants asked insightful and course-related questions regarding transportation management, distribution networks, supply chain challenges, sustainability practices, technological integration in logistics operations, and the role of strategic planning in achieving competitive advantage.
The visit highlighted the importance of experiential learning and reflected EPOKA University’s commitment to bridging theory and practice. Through industry collaborations and field-based learning opportunities, students gain first-hand exposure to business environments, allowing them to better understand how concepts discussed in the classroom are applied in real organizational settings.
The Business Administration Department extends its sincere gratitude to CANAJ Factory for its warm hospitality, informative presentations, and willingness to share professional expertise with EPOKA students. Such collaborations continue to strengthen the connection between academia and industry while preparing future professionals for the dynamic challenges of the business world.
