EPOKA University students participated in the XI All-Russian (with international participation) scientific-practical conference of students “Economics. Business. Youth” held by Department of English at St. Petersburg State University of Economics on 24-28 February 2021. Dr. Mirela Alhasani (Dubali) was a member of the scientific committee and supervisor of two successful presentations by student Ms. Loida Plaku enrolled in her graduate course Academic Reading and Writing, and Ms. Mikela Sula enrolled in the undergraduate course Development of Reading and Writing Skills in English 1 in Architecture study program.
EPOKA University student of Banking and Finance graduate program, Ms. Loida PLAKU was evaluated as best presentation of the conference with her paper entitled “Impact of Covid-19 on Audit and Internal Control in Relation to Creative Accounting”. Her in-depth original analysis demonstrated high competence of both scientific interpretations of the concepts in the field along with the linguistic mastery of academic English conventions and public speaking rhetoric to defend the topic convincingly. The paper of Epoka undergraduate student of Architecture program, Ms. Mikela Sula was also selected as among the best well-written ones to be published in the conference proceedings of St. Petersburg University Press. The conference organizers accentuate the fierce competition among numerous high-quality reports presented in this international conference held in a remote format in two languages - English and Russian with participation of more than 100 students from undergraduate and graduate level from 8 universities:
