During May 6-10, 2024, representatives from EPOKA University, including Dr. Alba Gerdeci, the Head of International Relations Office, Dr.Nertil Mera,  the Head of Banking and Finance Department, participated in the VI Edition of the International Staff Week,  organized by our partner the University of International Studies of Rome (UNINT), in Italy. The theme of this edition of the International Week was “Inclusivity and Sustainability”.

During the weeklong activities representatives from EPOKA had the opportunity to forge new connections and nurture existing ones, engaging in discussions with delegates from Lithuania, North Macedonia, Croatia, Russia, Tunisia, and Jordan, envisioning prospective partnerships.

EPOKA University and the University of International Studies of Rome have been working together since 2018, under the umbrella of the Erasmus+ Programme and more recently have been involved in developing a double degree program in the area of business administration. The said mobilities have been financed by the Erasmus+ KA171.

One highlight was reconnecting with the exchange students currently enrolled at UNINT and showcasing the numerous opportunities that EPOKA has in store for incoming exchange scholars and students.

Moreover, we seized the opportunity to spotlight the new virtual collaboration initiative, COWEB - Virtual Collaborative Learning in the WB HEIs, underscoring the commitment to fostering cross-cultural dialogue and academic synergy beyond physical boundaries.

On occasion of Europe Day, our esteemed partner - UNINT, resonated with a profound message from Rector Mariagrazia Russo. Rector Russo greeted the participants coming from several countries and eloquently underscored that the diversity of cultures and languages are a treasure that must be valued and celebrated.
