About Beyond Barriers Association (BBA)
Founded in 2004, BBA is a non-profit organization that promotes inclusion, equal opportunities, and a better quality of life for all young people — especially those facing social, economic, or physical challenges.
BBA empowers youth across Albania and Europe through non-formal education, volunteering, and international programs like Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps (ESC).
BBA has hosted and sent hundreds of ESC volunteers, implemented dozens of international projects, and received numerous national awards, including: Best Youth Organisation of the Year (2018), Voice of Youth and Children in Albania (2024)
Since 2011, they’ve also served as the official contact point for Erasmus+ YiA and ESC in Albania — helping youth and NGOs get involved in impactful European programs.
