Vice-Rector Mulleti and Prof. Turan participated at the 2025 Erasmus+ International Staff Week organized by UNINT

During May 05-09, 2025, Dr. Niuton Mulleti, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Lecturer at the Department of Political Science and International Relations, and Prof. Güngör Turan, Professor at the Department of Economics, participated at the 2025 Erasmus+ International Staff Week organised by the University of International Studies in Rome (UNINT) in Italy in the framework of the ongoing Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Agreement between EPOKA University and UNINT.

 

On this occasion, on May 07, 2025, Prof. Turan delivered a seminar titled “Testing the Validity of the EKC Hypothesis and Moderating Effects of Renewable Energy on Environmental Sustainability: A Dynamic Panel Estimation for the Western Balkans”, whereas Dr. Mulleti delivered a seminar on May 08, 2025, titled “Perspectives of the Western Balkan Countries on the Further Eastward Enlargement of the European Union”.

 

During their stay at UNINT, on May 06, 2025, Dr. Mulleti and Prof. Turan met with Prof. Mariagrazia Russo, Rector, Prof. Luciano Nieddu, Pro-Rector for International Relations, and Prof. Antonella Ercolani, Pro-Rector for the Third Mission/Social Impact at UNINT. In this context, on behalf of the Rector Prof. Ahmet Öztaş, Vice-Rector Mulleti conveyed to the senir management of UNINT the most sincere appreciation on the very fruiful cooperation established between the two universities with a particular focus on the exchange of students as well as faculty and staff under the Erasmus+ programme, and the work carried out on the offering a Double Degree program between UNINT and EPOKA. Discussions focused on the ways to further intensify bilateral cooperation by inquiring the opportunity to also offer Double Degree programs in other disciplines of mutual interest. 

 

During the International Staff Week, Dr. Mulleti and Prof. Turan also met with esteemed colleagues from the numerous participating universities and inquired on potential collaboration opportunities with the respective institutions. Special attention was also paid to meeting with UNINT students who had expressed their interest to be hosted by EPOKA as incoming exchange students under the Erasmus+ programme by building upon the excellent cooperation established between EPOKA and UNINT.
