On 9 June 2025, Dr. Gentjan Skara participated in the International Symposium "Three Decades of Transition and the Establishment of Competition Law Regimes in the Balkan Countries," which was held online via the Zoom platform.
Dr. Skara presented a paper co-authored with Alexandr Svetlicinii and Jasminka Pecotić Kaufman on "Europeanisation of Competition Law and Policy in the Western Balkans: Causes and Effects".
The paper analyses the impact of the EU integration process on Western Balkan countries' competition legislation and offers some empirical data on human resources, fines, and budget records.
The Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo, and the Antitrust Bulletin organised this symposium. The paper presented will be published in a special issue of the Antitrust Bulletin journal.
