EPOKA University had the honor of hosting the representatives from the University of Peja “Haxhi Zeka", Kosovo, in the framework of the EcoPulse Project, which aims to advance sustainability and green development across the Western Balkans.
The delegation, composed of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fisnik Morina, Assist. Prof. Dr. Valdrin Misiri, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Elvis Elezaj, conducted a study visit to exchange experiences and best practices in developing environmentally friendly campuses. Discussions during the visit focused on the objectives of the EcoPulse Project, including reducing institutional carbon footprints, establishing Green Incubators for innovative ideas, and engaging students and academic staff in sustainability education.
The program was coordinated by the Research and Projects Office of EPOKA University, led by Dr. Armando Demaj in collaboration with the Director of the Yunus Centre for Social Business and Sustainability Dr. Besjon Zenelaj. The significance of strengthening academic partnerships and promoting joint sustainability initiatives was emphasized.
During the visit, the delegation was introduced to EPOKA University’s facilities, research activities, and sustainability initiatives, with particular attention to green infrastructure and specialized laboratories. The meeting provided a platform for consolidating the long-standing cooperation between the two institutions and identifying additional areas for academic and research collaboration. This study visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of EPOKA University and the University “Haxhi Zeka” to fostering innovation, sustainability, and regional cooperation in higher education.
