The National Cybersecurity Marathon 2025, organized by the National Authority for Cybersecurity (AKSK), was held over several phases starting in July, with the aim of strengthening cybersecurity skills and identifying new national talent. The competition brought together students, universities, women and girls, and persons with disabilities.
The final stage took place on site at Rogner Hotel, where selected participants competed individually on the SimSpace platform, supported by the U.S. Department of State. Representatives from key institutions attended the closing ceremony, including the Minister of Education, who highlighted the importance of cybersecurity education and awareness.
EPOKA University was represented by five students in the final on-site competition. Notably, Sidrit Zela, a Software Engineering student, achieved second place in the Students category, receiving a prize of 700 GBP.
The Marathon was supported by several national and international partners, and organizers announced that the event will be held again next year.
