On 30 June 2026, EPOKA University had the honor of welcoming a high-level delegation from Politecnico di Torino, Italy, for an important institutional meeting aimed at strengthening strategic academic and research cooperation between the two universities.
Politecnico di Torino is one of Italy’s most prestigious technical universities, internationally recognized for excellence in engineering, architecture, design, and applied sciences. With a strong international profile, the university hosts around 8,500 international students, including approximately 200 students from Albania, reflecting its close academic ties with the region.
The delegation from Politecnico di Torino included Prof. Alberto Sapora, Vice Rector for International Affairs; Prof. Fabrizio Barpi, International Affairs Representative for the Department of Structural, Geotechnical and Building Engineering; and Dr. Mario Ravera, Executive for International Affairs. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Igli Kondi, professor of Civil Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Tirana.
EPOKA University was represented by Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bilgin, Rector of EPOKA University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Edmond Manahasa, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mirjam Ndini, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering; and Dr. Armando Demaj, Head of the International Relations Office.
The meeting focused on expanding cooperation in key academic areas, including Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Architecture. Discussions addressed opportunities for student and staff mobility, Erasmus+ cooperation, memorandum of understanding, double-degree programs, and joint research initiatives.
This visit represents a significant step in strengthening EPOKA University’s international academic network and advancing future cooperation with one of Europe’s leading technical universities.
