In the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, Dr. Armando Demaj, Head of the International Relations Office and Head of the Research and Projects Office at EPOKA University, conducted an official visit to Gdańsk University of Technology in Poland.
The visit served as an important opportunity to further strengthen the institutional partnership between EPOKA University and Gdańsk University of Technology, with a particular focus on expanding Erasmus+ mobility, enhancing academic cooperation, and identifying new opportunities for joint research and project development.
During the visit, Dr. Armando Demaj held a series of meetings with key representatives of Gdańsk University of Technology. He met with Ms. Maria Doerffer, Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator, to discuss the further development of Erasmus+ cooperation, student and staff mobility, and the strengthening of institutional links between the two universities.
A significant part of the visit was dedicated to cooperation with the Faculty of Architecture. Dr. Armando Demaj met with PhD Eng. Arch. Justyna Borucka, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Architecture for International Relations, where discussions focused on deepening academic collaboration, promoting international mobility opportunities, and exploring future joint initiatives in the field of architecture and related disciplines.
In this context, meetings were held with representatives of the Project Office of the Faculty of Architecture. These discussions provided a valuable platform to exchange ideas on research collaboration, project-based cooperation, and the development of future academic and research activities between EPOKA University and Gdańsk University of Technology.
Dr. Armando Demaj met with representatives of the Project Management Office, Ms. Paulina Dyguła and Ms. Magdalena Urbanowicz. The meeting focused on opportunities for strengthening project-based cooperation, exchanging institutional experience in project development and management, and exploring possibilities for future joint initiatives under European and international funding schemes.
As part of the visit, Dr. Armando Demaj also met with Prof. dr hab. inż. Adam Szymkiewicz, Vice-Dean for Scientific Research and Head of the Department of Geotechnical and Hydraulic Engineering at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The meeting provided an important opportunity to discuss potential cooperation in scientific research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the development of future academic and project-based partnerships between the two institutions. During this part of the visit, Prof. Adam Szymkiewicz introduced Dr. Demaj to the faculty laboratories, presenting their research infrastructure, academic potential, and opportunities for future collaboration in applied research and innovation.
Another important meeting was held with Prof. Piotr Lorens, Head of the Department of Urban Design and Regional Planning at the Faculty of Architecture of Gdańsk University of Technology, together with members of his distinguished academic team. Prof. Piotr Lorens is a highly respected academic leader and a key figure in advancing cooperation between the two institutions. Through his active support, strategic vision, and continuous commitment, he has played a central role in fostering academic dialogue, strengthening institutional ties, and promoting the development of this important partnership between EPOKA University and Gdańsk University of Technology.
This official Erasmus+ visit marks another important step in EPOKA University’s continued commitment to internationalization, academic excellence, and the development of sustainable partnerships with leading European higher education institutions.
