The Jean Monnet Module “Circular Economy and Sustainable Production Models in the European Union: Lessons and Policy Transfer for Albania (EU-CE4AL)” has officially been launched. The three-year project is coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elda Dollija, Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration at EPOKA University.
The Module focuses on EU Circular Economy policies, sustainable production models, and the European Green Deal, with particular attention to their relevance for Albania and the opportunities for policy learning and transfer.
The kick-off meeting brought together members of the international academic team from Albania, Italy, Germany, and Romania. During the meeting, the team discussed the objectives and planned activities of the Module, shared ideas, clarified responsibilities, and established the framework for its implementation over the coming three years.
The Module will include a range of academic and public activities, including teaching, research, summer schools, guest lectures, public panels, study visits, and a final symposium. These activities will provide opportunities for exchange and discussion among academia, business, public institutions, and civil society on issues related to the circular economy and sustainable production.
Implementing Team
The Jean Monnet Module is funded by the European Union under the Jean Monnet Actions of the Erasmus+ Programme.
Through its teaching, research, and outreach activities, EU-CE4AL will contribute to discussion and knowledge exchange on the European Union’s approach to the circular economy and sustainable production, while examining its relevance in the Albanian context.
