The Jean Monnet Module on “EU Integration of Western Balkans: Patterns and Issues” (WB-EUPath Module), under the coordination of the Center for European Studies [CES] of EPOKA University, will be implemented within the framework of the Master and Bachelor study programs in “Political Science and International Relations” at EPOKA University, and supported by external experts. It aims to combine theoretical and empirical knowledge to offer a comparative approach to the Western Balkan countries’ internal and regional dynamics in their EU integration paths. The goal is to provide a deeper and critical understanding of the patterns and issues dominating the WB countries’ EU integration process from the perspectives of the region itself by looking at each country’s history of integration, challenges, and prospective for EU membership.

The project team consists of Dr. Jubjana Vila [Module Leader], Dr. Reina Shehi, and Dr. Avdi Smajljaj at EPOKA University. The project will be implemented with the valuable contribution of external experts of European and Southeast European Studies such as Prof. Dr. Florian Bieber [University of Graz, Austria], Prof. Dr. Emmanuella Doussis [National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece], Assist. Prof. Dr. Ivana Radic Milosavljevic [University of Belgrade, Serbia], and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ognen Vangelov [University American College, Skopje, North Macedonia].

We wish a very successful implementation of the said Erasmus + Program.
