On 8 November 2024, the Department of Law welcomed Luca Colombatto in a seminar on "EU Artificial Intelligence Act: the first regulation of AI in the world and its Impact on EU Member States".
During the seminar, Luca explained why the AI act was important for the EU and outlined its impact on Member States. Focusing on the case of Italy, Luca argued that its impact would be immense in the medical sector, agriculture, environment and legal sector. Students were very curious to know to what extent technology and AI will impact lawyering.
Luca Colombatto is a PhD student from the Department of Law at the University of Torino. Luca is writing its PhD thesis on EU Artificial Intelligence Act and its impact in EU Member States and candidate countries focusing in Albania.
We thank Luca for his seminar and looking forward for other events in the AI sector.
