On February 4, 2025, the Department of Architecture at EPOKA University hosted the final jury for ARCH 101: Basic Design Studio, showcasing the creativity and dedication of first-year architecture students. The project challenged 57 students to design a living environment for three distinct animals, translating a vivid excerpt from Charles Dickens' David Copperfield into an architectural context.
Students were tasked with interpreting Dickens' rich descriptions of natural landscapes and transforming them into spatial designs tailored to the environmental needs of selected animals.
The final jury was honored by the presence of distinguished guest lecturers, whose invaluable feedback enriched the review process. Their insights provided students with critical perspectives on design approaches, spatial qualities, and conceptual clarity.
The event was supervised by dedicated tutors: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Odeta Manahasa, Dr. Ina Dervishi, MSc. Manjola Logli, and MSc. Redion Spaho, who guided students throughout their creative journey.
