Epoka University was proudly represented at the World Banking and Finance Symposium, one of the most prestigious international conferences in the field of finance and economics, held at Mendelu University, Faculty of Business and Economics, Brno, Czech Republic from 15–17 December 2025.
During the symposium, Dr. Chrysanthi Balomenou, Lecturer in the Banking and Finance Department, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Epoka University, presented the research paper entitled “The Impact of Macroeconomic Factors on the Yield of a Portfolio of Shares.” The paper was co-authored by Bjorni Merko, Teaching Assistant in the Banking and Finance Department at Epoka University, with Dr. Balomenou serving as the second author. The study examines the influence of key macroeconomic factors on portfolio performance and contributes to ongoing academic discussions in banking and financial economics. Presenting the research at an international academic forum provided valuable opportunities for scholarly feedback and exchange.
In addition to presenting the paper, Dr. Balomenou also participated in the Symposium as a discussant for another research contribution, engaging critically with fellow researchers and contributing to constructive academic dialogue on emerging topics in banking and finance.
Overall, the Symposium offered a rich academic experience, featuring high-quality presentations, stimulating discussions, and valuable networking opportunities with scholars and professionals from around the world.
