Dr. Chrysanthi Balomenou, Lecturer at the Department of Banking and Finance, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, at EPOKA University is pleased to share her contribution as a co-author of a joint book chapter in a recently published (February 2026) edited Book volume by Elsevier Publishing House, titled: “Recycling, Upcycling, and Waste Management: Current Sustainability Practices and Future Trends”
Her joint Chapter topic is relating to “The role of circular economy for crisis management in times of pandemic crisis” and is the result of a valuable collaboration with the esteemed colleagues: Professor Eglantina Hysa, Associate Professor Zsolt Gilányi, PhDc Assistant Lecturer Iges Banda, PhDc Assistant Lecturer Jora Banda.
The book brings together interdisciplinary perspectives on sustainability, circular economy, and innovative waste management practices, contributing to both academic research and policy- relevant discussions. The volume is edited by the distinguished scholars: Professor Mirela Panait, Professor Eglantina Hysa, Dr. Lukman Raimi, Dr. Syed Abdul Rehman Khan. As a Lecturer at the Department of Banking and Finance, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, at EPOKA University, she is particularly honored to contribute to a publication that highlights the economic, environmental, and managerial dimensions of sustainability and future-oriented development.
