The Department of Business Administration at EPOKA University is incorporating the teaching activities of the Jean Monnet Module EU-CE4AL into its courses, providing students with opportunities to explore the European Union’s transition towards a circular economy, sustainable production models, and the opportunities these create for Albania.

The Jean Monnet Module EU-CE4AL, which explores the European Union’s transition towards a circular economy, sustainable production models, and the opportunities these create for Albania.

The first two sessions introduced students to key EU policies and sustainability concepts, connecting European integration with the challenges and opportunities of the green transition.

As part of the BUS 103 – Introduction to Business course, on October 20, first-year students from the Bachelor's programs in Business Administration and International Marketing and Logistics attended a session on Green Deal as a Growth Strategy: Implications for EU Candidate Countries, delivered by Prof. Gentjan Skara. The session explored the European Green Deal as a strategic framework for sustainable economic growth, examining its implications for EU candidate countries, including Albania, in their journey towards European integration.

In the BUS 321 – Operations Management course, on October 22, third-year students from the Bachelor's programs in Business Administration, International Marketing and Logistics, and Economics attended a session on Circular Economy vs. Linear Production Models in the EU, delivered by Prof. Kriselda Gura. The session introduced the fundamental differences between linear and circular production models, highlighting resource efficiency, waste reduction, sustainable production, and the transition towards more resilient and environmentally responsible business practices.

Through these teaching activities, EU-CE4AL aims to strengthen students’ understanding of EU policies, circular economy principles, and sustainable business models, fostering the knowledge and competencies needed to contribute to Albania’s green transition and European integration.

The module connects European values, sustainability, innovation, and business education, helping students better understand the role of sustainable economic practices in Albania’s European integration process.
