On May 15, 2020, Back To The Future club composed by PIR students organized another activity named “Albania in 30 years of Transition”. Given the extraordinary situation created by the pandemic COVID-19, the activity was held in the form of the webinar.
The invited guest was Mr. Ervin Salianji, who is an Albanian politician with a lot of work experiences. His profile is Law and so he is working as a Lecturer at European University of Tirana for the same field.
The introductory speech was made by Ms. Astela Veis. As an active person in Albanian politics, Mr. Salianji discussed on the problems that Albania is facing due to the long transition of 3 decades. Some of the problems that he underlined were :
Party system of Albania.
Check and balance problems.
Lack of meritocracy.
Damages in the institutions due to the extended transition, etc.
After the speech, the discussion was opened, and the students who participated asked questions on the issues.
