On Monday, January 13, at 9:30 AM, the Department of Architecture at Epoka University hosted an open lecture titled Piloting Art Projects. Held in the Conference Hall, the event was part of the Advanced Studio Design course led by Dr. Egin Zeka, Dr. Joana Dhiamandi, Msc. Mariglen Zyqo, lecturers within the Department of Architecture. The session was specifically designed for 4th-year Architecture students, focusing on the design theme of Pogradec.
The guest speaker, Donika Cina, shared her extensive expertise in art and design. Donika holds a Diploma in Arts from the University of Arts in Tirana and has pursued advanced studies in Photography and Process-based Images at the University of Arts and Design in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Her academic journey also includes prestigious fellowships in Italy and Germany, enriching her understanding of contemporary art and culture.
Beyond her artistic accomplishments, Donika has excelled as a curator, cultural organizer, and project leader. She has played a pivotal role in initiatives like ArtNexus and the Annex program, which creatively combine arts with human rights education.
During the lecture, Donika highlighted the transformative role of art in society. She emphasized its potential to promote quality education, equality, and social change. Her insights inspired students to think critically about using creativity and design to address societal challenges.
