On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, master's students of Business Administration and Banking and Finance enrolled in BUS 434 – Auditing had the opportunity to gain valuable industry insights from Ms. Danjela Begolli, a member of the Audit Committee of the Albanian Association of Banks (AAB) and Head of the Audit Department at Tirana Bank.
Organized in cooperation with MSc Egla Mansi, within the framework of the course led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nargiza Alymkulova, this open lecture focused on the functioning of Internal Audit with a particular emphasis on the banking sector.
Drawing from her extensive professional experience, Ms. Begolli shared practical insights on the critical role Internal Audit plays in supporting governance, risk management, and organizational effectiveness within financial institutions. She highlighted how Internal Audit serves as a key pillar in ensuring accountability and operational integrity, offering students a well-grounded view of how theoretical principles translate into real-world banking practice.
