LAW Conflict Resolution Guest Lecture

Epoka University is pleased to announce a seminar titled “Conflict Resolution through Mediation”, organized within the framework of academic collaboration between universities.

We are honored to welcome two distinguished speakers:

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Brunilda Zenelaga, Head of the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tirana
Dr. Eglantina Farruku, Lecturer, Department of Law, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, EPOKA University

The seminar will examine the importance of mediation as an inclusive, peaceful, and efficient method of resolving disputes in various areas of society. The discussion will cover how mediation is applied in

social and community services, such as family and neighborhood disputes;
the legal field, where it serves as an alternative to court proceedings in civil, family, or labor cases;
the business sector, where it helps resolve commercial and organizational conflicts confidentially;
education, where it addresses issues like peer conflict and school-community misunderstandings;
local governance, where it facilitates dialogue between citizens and institutions over public services, planning, and more.

The seminar will emphasize that mediation is a flexible and constructive approach to conflict resolution that can be adapted to a wide range of situations and sectors, including but not limited to those mentioned.
