On June 11, 2025, the Center for European Studies, in collaboration with the Department of Political Science and International Relations, successfully organized the Second WB-EUPath Graduate Workshop and Seminar. The event took place within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module “EU Integration of Western Balkans: Patterns and Issues” (WB-EUPath Module) led by EPOKA University and co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the EU.
The workshop opened with the Graduate Seminar led by Mr. Altin Gjeta, PhD Candidate at the University of Birmingham, UK. Mr. Gjeta presented his research on “Coercive Consociationalism and Statehood Consolidation in Kosovo” offering an in-depth analysis of post-conflict power-sharing implications on Kosovo's state-building efforts. His presentation was followed by an engaging discussion with participants, fostering critical dialogue on the complexities of governance in divided societies.
In the second half of the event, workshop participants took part in one-to-one mentorship sessions with the academic staff of the Department of Political Science and International Relations and Center for European Studies at EPOKA University. Graduate students shared their research proposals related to the EU integration process of the Western Balkans, received personalized feedback, and participated in peer-to-peer exchange.
The organizers extended their gratitude to all participants, guest speaker Mr. Gjeta, and the mentoring faculty for their valuable contributions to the success of the event.
