The symposium “The Rule of Law at the Frontline of the EU Integration in the Western Balkans” was held on March 25, 2026, at EPOKA University, bringing together academics, policymakers, and legal experts from across Europe and the Western Balkans.
The event was opened by Dr. Niuton Mulleti, with remarks from Prof. Dr. Huseyin Bilgin, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Isa Erbas, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teresa Russo.
A key highlight was the participation of H.E. Mr. Reinout Vos and Mr. Tedi Dobi, emphasizing the importance of the rule of law for democratic governance and EU integration. The first session, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teresa Russos, featured: Mr. Gianluigi Pratola, Mr. Fulvio Baldi, Mr. Andreas Nagy, Assoc. Prof.Dr Mushak Natalia, and Ms. Edlira Osmani, focusing on judicial cooperation and legal reforms.
The second session, moderated by Dr. Gentjan Skara, continued with insights from Western Balkan experts on strengthening the rule of law and accelerating EU integration.
The symposium served as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and future cooperation in justice and legal reform, reinforcing EPOKA University’s commitment to academic excellence and societal impact.
