The 8th “Education Today” Conference co-organized by Turgut Ozal Education, EPOKA University, and COWEB Project was held on February 24, 2024, in Tirana, Albania.
This year’s conference theme was carefully and timely selected as “AI in Education: Transforming Learning”. Around 400 schoolteachers and lecturers from Albania and the region attended the conference, where renowned Key Speakers and engaging Workshops delved into the role and impact of artificial intelligence on education.
EPOKA University and the COWEB project were represented by Dr. Esmir Demaj, Project Manager of COWEB Project; Dr. Niuton Mulleti, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs; and Prof. Dr. Bekir Karlik, Professor of Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Demaj presented and led a Workshop titled "Empowering HE in the Digital Age: Trends and Case studies of Digitally Enhanced Learning Practices," while Prof. Dr. Karlik led a workshop on "Artificial Intelligence Applications in Education."
This annual gathering dedicated to shaping the future of education in Albania and beyond, has become a cornerstone event for teachers and school leaders, fostering collaboration and innovation in the field of education both in K-12 and university education. Conferences like this play a vital role in linking, developing, and supporting teaching professionals across the region and beyond.
