On 2nd October 2024, Dr. Mirela Alhasani (Dubali) participated in the kick-off meeting of the COST Action 23105: Language Plurality in Europe's Changing Media Sphere (@PLURINGMEDIA), held at the COST Association headquarters in Brussels. Dr. Mirela has been nominated as a Management Committee member representing Albania by the National COST office in Tirana, Albania, due to her expertise aligned with the scope of this action.
This project tackles the challenges posed by the dominance of major languages, such as English, in today's media landscape, while striving to protect Europe’s rich linguistic diversity and promote multilingualism. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, the initiative aims to support regional and minority languages and smaller media outlets in an era of rapidly evolving digital consumption trends.
