Dr. Chrysanthi Balomenou, Lecturer at the Banking and Finance Department, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and MSc. Bjorni Merko, Teaching Assistant at the same department, organized an open lecture as part of the Digital Banking and Innovation course, offered under the umbrella of the Master of Science in FinTech programme, providing students with valuable exposure to current developments in the financial sector.
The lecture featured distinguished guest speakers, Tea Muzhaqi (Product Manager of Digital Acquisition) and Vjola Mato (Product Owner of Digital Acquisition), executives from Raiffeisen Bank.
The session was aligned with the course topic “A New Era of Banking”, covering key themes such as digital banking transformation, contactless services, wearable banking technologies, and the growing importance of data-driven strategies.
The guest speakers provided practical insights into digital acquisition processes and highlighted how financial institutions are adapting to evolving customer expectations and technological advancements.
Through this interactive session, students were able to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, gaining a deeper understanding of innovation in modern banking and the ongoing shift from traditional models toward more agile and customer-centric financial services.
