On April 04, 2024, EPOKA University had the honor of welcoming the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Albania, H. E. Mr. Karl Bergner and the Head of the Press and Culture Office at the Embassy of Germany in Tirana, Mr. Martin Zickendraht.
During his visit at EPOKA University, Mr. Bergner was hosted by the Rector of EPOKA University, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş, the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lisen Bashkurti and the Administrator of EPOKA University, Ms. Gëzime Onat. Prof. Öztaş provided insights into the collaboration between EPOKA University and several esteemed universities in Germany, emphasizing the opportunities Germany offers to our students.
Ambassador Bergner further engaged with a group of students from the Political Science and International Relations Department at EPOKA University. During the meeting, the students had the opportunity to give their view about the current political and social situation in Albania. At the same time, the students asked several questions on Albania's European Union integration and the obstacles that our country has to overcome in order to become a member of the EU as soon as possible.
